The Musical

You know, its almost enough to give into Toni's wonderful idea. Go in as a defeatist and come out feeling down, then get some nameless speaking role and feel great. Right now that idea seems down right grand. But I got my hopes up saying "So and so is too round, and so and so is too short, so I've got it." Well now I'm upset because I didn't get the part I thought I would get, so I would have been better off going to call backs as a defeatist. And I know in a few weeks it won't matter, but right now it really sucks. I think I'm just gonna skip Grey's and go to bed. Congratulations to all my friends who did get parts, but I think I'm gonna go sulk now. By the way, who is the purser other than the captain's lackey? Just curious...
Sam

Stealing Lynsey's Idea *devious smile*

Alright, here it goes, for the New Year...

- I'm so glad we met and wish we hung out more often because I could work on breaking your shell. I'll get it open one day despite your stubbornness. And underneath that shell there is definitely something beautiful that you're hiding from the world. I wonder why.

-You are definitely my closest friend. I have shared everything with you and feel completely uninhibited around you. There is nothing I have to hide, and nothing I can't say. It is impossible to make you mad at me and I love that because I can speak my mind without worry, which never happens with anyone! Thanks for being my friend.

- We've had so much fun this year. It's to bad that you are leaving, but then most of my friends are leaving this year. I was a little taken back by your recent behavior but have seen so much like it that it doesn't really matter. And yes, I do need a girlfriend so I'm not the third wheel :D

And now for people who aren't on LiveJournal...

- I love you and you don't even know it, but oh well. I would leap off of a bridge for you because that's how much I care. I wish you were more self confident because you are a beautiful person and I won't let you make the mistakes that you are afraid you will make. You are not your mother so don't worry.

- Sadly, I'm tired of and done with you. You've become someone you were not. I know that's because you've never been real, that you've just been an imitation of what you think people want in a person. I hate that and am done trying. I really have trouble being around you sometimes, and I think you know that. I also know that it hurts you when I don't listen to what you say but I do not share many views with you and often disagree with what you think I should do. Sorry.

- You're a real mess but I love you anyways. I just wish you'd slow down and find a real guy, not someone to sleep with. You just need to step back and find who you are and what you really want. Maybe college will be good for you, but I'm afraid it won't be. Hopefully that will change in the next two years.

Alright, that was that. Some of these were hard to write, but don't take offense. I love you all so much.
Sam

Weekly Update 10-20

So, I think I;ll try to do weekly updates from now on. Alright then, let's get on with the show.

First, a design rough of my brother's band, Yesterday's Tragedies', album cover...

And now a sketch to try out new shading style, I dig it

And hey, don't steal these if they ain't yours (Hey self, you can use these, but no one else got it ;) )

So there are some sketchies I'm working on. Hope you enjoy.
So I'm having a great week. I made Choristers!!!! I'm really pumped for that. I also got a volunteer (yet still audition) voice acting job for a game mod (modification, which often adds new gameplay elements or revamps graphics : for you laymen). I'm playing the part of a droll, sarcastic, jaded black guy. Woot!
Also, I saw I Am Legend and 1408 this week. Both were fantastic. I would write up whole reviews, but hey, don't wanna bore you. Well, I hope you all have pleasant breaks. Much love,
Sam

"I am Beowulf"

So, I saw Beowulf on Saturday. It was pretty awesome. It was really just an excuse to see blood and boobs, but I'm not complaining. But, because I do a lot of CG work (check out DevArt account @ http://samanimate.deviantart.com) a couple of miniscule details bothered me (eyes not blinking enough, muscles not expanding and contracting, etc.). Other than my harshly critical eye for detail I really enjoyed it.
In other news, I think I may begin posting more of my artwork on here. Some of it isn't really up to snuff for the TOS of DevArt, but you all won't mind sketches, right? Also, if you have any protestation to nudity, speak now, although it's not like I'll listen anyways. :)
Well, have a happy Thanksgiving, just in case I don't post before then.
Sam
P.S. Unless you're a vegetarian, eat a frickin' turkey. What else are they good for?

My Life [An Update]

So, I just got left at my house by my ride to the King's Center *growls uncontrolably* and thus am at home, with nothing to do. So, I thought I'd post here.
My Week:
I've been reading the His Dark Materials trilogy which I have read before. It is so much better now than when I first read it, all the symbolism is much easier to catch! Yay symbols.
I decided today that two of my teachers cannot teach. It is terrible. At least I like one, the other brings forth this desire to gouge my eyes out and set my math book on fire. I don't do this because I have common sense, bot one day, when I snap and have no eyes and am charged with arson, you all will knows whose fault it is [coughcoughmrs.smithcoughcuogh].
I just finished writing my story for english class. I had this deep desire to make it very emo, and poingant but I failed at life and gave it a sappy ending because I hate to see a street urchin cry :(
In other new, I have a terrible itch on my right arm, and some bumps. My mom says that I just have really dry skin but I am convinced otherwise, so all the lotion she gave me can go do things to itself! Muahahahahahah!
Anyways, Lynsey has been prompting me to post, so here is one for you :) And also, go look at my other post about my Daemon, I really hate being a mouse so go tell them how I truly am, and then something new will pop up! Yay new sparkley new Daemon.
Have a fun night, don't drink and drive, and if you need me call me,
Sam

My Theory...

I have decided that I am an incubus, though not sexually. I feed off of emotion, all emotion. I hate not feeling something. I must either be sad, or happy, or angry, but I cannot be neutral. I despise neutrality, I get bored with it and then I have to...to feel. Do you get what I'm saying. You can definitely tell from my list of favorite songs.
"Goodbye Love" -- Rent
Almost self explanatory, although, for me it has connections with a rather emotional time of my life, but even without this connection it is a rather emotional song. Very sad and painful to the soul.
"Apres Moi" -- Regina Spektor
A very angry, dark sounding song with a pounding, slow base, and haunting vocals. I listen to it when I fee like brooding. Good brooding music.
"Blackbird" -- Evan Rachel Woods Version (Made popular by the Beatles")
A very sad sounding song that gives me chills. Its rather hopeful, and her vocals are just so damn haunting,
But anyways, I could go on and on and not one would be bubbly or happy, very dark, sad, haunting, or a combination of all three. Does anyone else notice this about someone they know, or themselves? Just thought it was an interesting point, and wanted to see someone else's thoughts.
Sam

Across the [Frickin'] Universe

I saw Across the Universe about 2 hrs. ago. It was so freaking amazing. I had chills to the entire thing, fell in love with every single character, and want to see it again. It was jovial, tragic, angry, depressed, and beautiful all at once. I have decided I'm gonna take my girlfriend to see it because it is amazing, and then I can sing to her and earn "brownie-points" :). Anyways you must go see this movie. It makes me wish I was born in the 60's. I want a good cause to throw my weight behind, like Vietnam, oh well. Anyways, es hermoso y fantastico, go see it.
Your friendly neighborhood radical,
Sam

I've been rather depressed lately and I would like to be done with it so here are the lyrics...

MORITZ
Awful sweet to be a little butterfly.
Just wingin' over things
And nothing deep inside.
Nothing goin', goin' wild in you, you know.
You're slowing by the riverside,
Or floatin' high and blue.

Or may be cool to be a little summer wind.
Like once through everything
And then away again.
With the taste of dust in your mouth all day
But no need to know.
Like sadness, you just sail away.

'Cause you know I don't do sadness,
Not even a little bit.
Just don't need it in my life.
Don't want any part of it.
I don't do sadness.
Hey, I've done my time
Lookin' back on it all.
Man, it blows my mind.
I don't do sadness,
So been there.
Don't do sadness,
Just don't care.

(Scene)

ILSE
Spring and summer ev’ry other day
Blue wind gets so sad
Blowin’ through the thick corn,
Through the bales of hay,
Through the open books on the grass
Spring and summer

Sure, when it’s autumn
Wind always wants to
Creep up and haunt you
Whistlin’ it’s got you
With it's heartache, with it's sorrow
Winter wind sings and it cries

Spring and summer ev’ry other day
Blue wind gets so pained
Blowin’ through the thick corn,
Through the bales of hay,
Through the sudden drift of the rain
Spring and summer.

MORITZ
So maybe I should be some kind of laundry line.
Hang their things on me
And I will swing 'em dry.
You're just wavin' the sun throughout the afternoon,
And then see, they come to set you free
Beneath the risin' moon.

MORITZ (With ILSE)
'Cause you know I don't do sadness,
Not even a little bit.
Just don't need it in my life.
Don't want any part of it.
I don't do sadness.
Hey, I've done my time
Lookin' back on it all.
Man, it blows my mind.
I don't do sadness,
So been there.
Don't do sadness,
Just don't care.

ILSE (With MORITZ)
Spring and summer ev’ry other day
Blue wind gets so lost
Blowin’ through the thick corn,
Through the bales of hay

Spring and summer ev’ry other day
Blue wind gets so lost
Blowin’ through the thick corn,
Through the bales of hay,
Through the wandering clouds of the dust
Spring and summer.

And now I do hope to go to sleep.
Sam

Rock me Amadeus!

I just got back from the performance of Amadeus by a large group of German's who came to our school. It was fantastic, my only complaint was that one guy was constantly flat. Other than that it was amazing. I really want to preform it now. Ah well, 'tis my bad luck that I do not live in Germany, nor do I go to Ana Bahnkopf's (spelling?) school. But, again, it was fantastic. I swear I sang every song they preformed (and probably annoyed the group behind me) and had a blast. Then I went to Kroger and had great fun. "Dang that monkey...", "...Pecan Halves, Pecan Pieces, Pecan Pieces and halves, tea party...", "Blended Orgasm...hmmm, must...not...pick up....Red...book...". Ah well, it was great fun.
Goodnight,
Samuel
